Our Heritage
The company’s founder Willy Forsström began building machines for HF-welding in the 1960s. The family owned company was founded in 1970 and has grown steadily. Today, Forsstrom is the world leader in this segment, exporting almost its entire production. Our welding machines are installed with customers located all around the world.
Despite large development, Forsstrom remains a family business, with two generations of the Forsström family playing active roles in the company.
1970
Willy Forsström started by building machines for HF welding as early as the mid-1960s. The FORSSTROM company was founded in 1970 and the first machine manufactured is still in use.
1980
In 1988, his two sons Ronny and Peter joined the company. France is our largest market with 75% of sales.
1990
During the 1990s, new premises were built to increase production, and in connection with this, a major investment was started in North America.
2000
In 2000 FORSSTROM was listed on the market and the company changed its name to Forsstrom High Frequency AB.
2010
In 2010 FORSSTROM’s machines are now available in 65 different countries around the world.
2020
In 2020 FORSSTROM is the World leader in our niche.
