Carmo and Forsstrom launch upgraded welding machine.

The Danish manufacturer of molded medical and industrial components Carmo A/S and the Swedish machine manufacturer Forsstrom HF begin a collaboration on the development and sale of high frequency (HF) welding machines. The first result of the collaboration - a new version of the welding machine CP9 from Carmos HF - will be launched at the R+T fair in February in Stuttgart.

Danish Carmo A/S and Swedish Forsstrom HF have worked together for decades and recommended each other’s products for their respective customers. Now the connection between them is so official that the two companies have signed a partnership agreement for the development, production, sale and service of the welding machines Carmos HF.

Forsstrom and Carmo have very good knowledge of each other that goes back many years. Representatives of both our companies often meet at fairs and there has always been good chemistry and many opportunities for collaboration. So it made more than sense to take the full step with a real development project and trade agreement, says Carmo CEO Claus Ishøy.

Forsstrom has already worked for several rounds with the development and retrofitting of the welding machines Carmos HF. However, it is only with the collaboration that these development projects will now be put into series production and become available to a larger market.

We want to create closer contact with our customers and be their favorite one-stop-shop from which they can get all their machines. With the addition of the machines from Carmos to the range, we cover a completely new business area and are one step closer to the goal, says Robert Forsström, COO at Forsstrom.

The addition of experience and knowledge

Initially, the agreement involves further development of Carmo’s most popular high-frequency welding machines CP9 and CP8.

– Forsstrom has great expertise in high-frequency welding and at the same time a long experience with our machines. This means that they have unique knowledge for further development of the machines. This optimization will be of great benefit to our customers when they get access to the updated versions, says Claus Ishøy.

Forsstrom has sales agents in several countries and they will be responsible for sales and service of the high frequency welding machines tailored for welding medical and industrial components from Carmo. It pleases the employees at Carmo who see many opportunities to add Forsstrom’s experience and knowledge to the company’s development and sales work.

We see great opportunities in collaborating with Forsstrom. They are a reputable brand known for high quality. The collaboration gives us access to their unique competence and it will take our high-frequency welding machines to the next level and open up a new market for us through their well-developed sales channels, says Claus Ishøy.

At the fair with new partnership and updated welding machine

The updated high-frequency welding machines receive both companies’ logos and are part of Forsstrom’s work to create a more complete portfolio for its customers. Therefore, Forsstrom is also looking forward to showcasing the possibilities of the new partnership when they attend the R+T fair in Stuttgart between February 19 and 23. There, a brand new generation, the high-frequency welding machine CP9 from Carmo, will be launched. The CP9 has been upgraded in such a way that it is significantly easier to use and at the same time easier to service and maintain.
