What size (power level) is right for me?
Once you have selected the most optimal machine, the correct size (power level) of machine has to be determined. The Forsstrom power generator is the most powerful and also the smallest in the industry.
Comparisons of kilowatts with other manufacturers are not a relevant manner in which to gage your needs. Many manufacturers state power ratings at the generator, which have nothing to do with the power at the electrode doing the welding.
At Forsstrom, we size our machines based on performance values measured by square centimetres / inches per welding cycle. For example a TX 200 has a maximum welding capacity of 200 cm² (31 inch²).
